Happy Halloween 2010!

October was action-packed and November is looking equally exciting! First off, Chris got a job! Woo hoo! We are so happy and relieved he found something right away! Thank you all for your well wishes and encouragement-- your positive vibes were greatly appreciated. He will be starting his new gig on Tuesday. Halloween was a blast though exhausting for all. This was the first year Izzy really got into the whole dressing up in a costume, trick-or-treating and eating candy hullabaloo. Patty (aka: Nana) had a fun birthday we got to share in celebrating and Chris just had his b-day yesterday. To round out this string of birthdays, Izzy will be celebrating her 3rd birthday this month on the 17th and we're all looking forward to her birthday party next Sunday at The Little Gym! Of course I'll post pics of her special day!!!

I had lots of fun at Nana's birthday dinner! Spaghetti, my favorite!

Tiny but tough

Izzy was Cinderella for Halloween this year. To get some extra mileage out of her costume, we attended lots of Halloween events, including this one held at the Disney store.

A little overwhelmed by all the other Disney kids.

Hanging out with Belle and Ariel.

Book club with Alyssa. This month's selection: "The Fountainhead". Next month: "Tuesdays With Morrie."

Halloween 2010

Um, mom, watcha doin' with that knife so close to my pumpkin?

Mom, I don't think pumpkin likes that!

Eeeww, grody! Pumpkin guts!!!

Halloween Event #3: Trick-or-Treating

Okay, here's the game plan: get candy and lots of it!

Alright, so the next series of pictures require some explanation. We met up with some friends in their neighborhood for trick-or-treating. Their son, Henry, dressed as a farmer and his dad made him this awesome tractor for his stroller. Perhaps if we were more ambitious, we would've made a pumpkin carriage stroller for Izzy but lucky for us, Henry was uninterested in his tractor stroller at first so she was very excited to get the chance to ride in it for a bit. Thanks for sharing, Henry!

The lesser known fairytale, "The Princess and the Tractor."

Onward, daddy! More candy awaits us!

How come I can't eat all my candy right now?

Mommy's bodyguard

Henry's mom, CaryAnn, helping me get into the swing of this trick-or-treating business.

An exhausted baby brother. No wonder, I bet it takes a lot of energy carrying around a Mommy on your back.

Henry's dad, Ted, and his baby sister, Edith, a tuckered out little chicken.

An unhappy candy corn!

Edith, the cutest chicklet ever!

A princess has to color coordinate everything, even her tongue!

Aaaahhh, a relaxing end to a long Halloween night.

November 2010

More fun at the Little Gym.

Oh wow, I almost didn't see you there, Nico... you're all camouflaged!
