Snow Day!

It snowed in Austin today! I realize that if you live in the Midwest, the North or East, this little dusting of snow is nothing compared to the winter you all have been enduring. But to us Austinites, it's a pretty big deal as we hardly ever see snow in our neck of the woods.

Can't wait to get out and play in the snow!

Growing and Learning

Miss Izzy is 27 months old today! Yay! She's getting used to mommy's ballooning tummy (I'm now 4 months along)-- she knows where her baby brother lives and communicates with him via my belly-button. I'm anxious to see how she'll interact with him when he's on her side of the belly button. I bet she'll be a great big sister! Izzy loves to sing, dance, and read. She's also beginning to play more on her own and it's fun to see her give voice to her little toys and stuffed animals. Unfortunately, on Monday, she learned the hard way that eyeballs and Oxi Clean do not mix! After a frantic call to poison control and a very long 15 minutes of flushing out her eye, all is well and Izzy is now leery of all substances in spray bottles. Sigh.
