Mischief afoot... Sometimes, for snack, we give Izzy those little Babybel cheeses--she loves them! Recently, though, she has taken to playing with them before eating them, if she eats them at all. Occasionally we'll find these round, little cheeses in the weirdest places like under the couch cushion or in her potty (yuck!), so we now have to make sure the Babybel actually makes it to her tummy! Here is one interesting application of this most curious plaything/snack:

Hi Mommy. I'm just hanging out by the door with my Babybel...

Everything here is fine... no need for concern...

...hmmmm....

And the cheese stands alone... who knew Babybel cheese sticks to windows? Sigh.

Fun at the bookstore.

Let me just set myself down here to peruse this book...

Now where did I leave off?

Wow! Surprise ending! Didn't see that coming!

The end.

Izzy has been attending classes at the Little Gym for about two semesters. Last week was "Show Day" where the kids got to show off all the skills they have learned in class.

Miss Leah helping Izzy with her front-flip. She stuck the landing!

Balance beam!

Monkeying around...

Phew! All this showing off is hard work!

At the end of each class, the kids clamor for hand stamps. Actually, the stamps don't end at the hands... they also get foot stamps and even tummy stamps! They all gather around (mob) the teacher as she stamps each kid from head-to-toe. Izzy is remarkably patient while waiting for her turn. The other kids hold their hands and feet out (and have their tummies ready, too!) but Izzy sits and waits until Miss Leah gets to her.

Patiently waiting...

...waiting...

...still waiting...

Yippee! My turn!

Playing with the roller coaster beads after gym class. Can't wait to start the new semester next week!

The Little Gym Show Day video!

Alrighty, if you have 9 minutes to spare, here is the video footage I took from Izzy's gym class.

Visiting the horses and llamas

Izzy is 26 months old today! Wow! And her baby brother or sister is getting bigger by the day as well. Not too many new pictures since the last post so here are a bunch taken by someone else for a change! On our recent holiday visit to San Diego, we stopped by Tracy and Mike Ozaki's place in Ramona where they have two horses, Windy and Maricot. Izzy was a bit overwhelmed by the size of "real live" horses so she stayed close to her daddy. We also visited with the neighbors' llamas who were very friendly. Here are the pictures Mike took while we were there.

Christmas 2009

You probably thought I forgot all about the blog! Well, it so happens we've been on vacation and to prove it, here are the many photographs we took on our adventures.

My favorite at the playground: the swing!

Christmas p.j.'s from Auntie Sylvia, Uncle Joe and my pal, Ari. Oh, and that's my kitty cat backpack from Grandma and Grandpa Z.

Giggles in abundance at gym class.

Hey! That's my noodle!

Watching the 500+ channels at Nana and Grandpapi's.

This was daddy's chair when he was knee-high to a grasshopper.

Admiring the Christmas decorations at Balboa Park.

Koala bear hugs for daddy at the San Diego Zoo. (Thank you, Auntie Marie and Kaelyn for lending us your carrier for a test drive!)

Fun pretending to be creepy crawly bugs at the zoo.

Disneyland! Woo Hoooo!!!

Sleeping Beauty's castle decorated for the holidays.

Visiting the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves fountain.

My very first ride on a carousel. I loved it!

Goofy has gone and left his garden unattended again. I guess it's up to me to water his plants again. Sigh.

In Goofy's garden.

Having tea at Minnie's house.

Checking Minnie's mailbox for her.

Teacups! Weeeeeeee!

Snuggled in bed with some pups.

Izzy, the button-nosed reindeer.

Artist at work.

Christmas morning.

Coloring with Nana.

The cousins altogether: me, Hailey and A.J.

Visiting real live horsies at Tracy and Mike's. They are quite big in real life and nothing like my little rocking horse at home!

Maricot trying to give daddy a kiss.

Horses more befitting at the Balboa Park carousel.

Chugging along on the Balboa Park choo-choo train. Looks like Nana and Grandpapi are having fun, too!

Now it's mommy's turn with me on the carousel.

Kix and giggles! Having a snack with my pal, Ari.
