And now it's time for the Super-Happy Fun Show starring... Izzy! She's big in Japan!

A walk in Daddy's shoes.

Austin weather has kept us on our toes... one day it's pouring rain, the next it's hot and sunny. One of those hot and sunny days happened to be Memorial Day. We went to the Triangle (stay tuned for more info) and then to the state capitol.

The Triangle is a small section of shops, lofts, restaurants and an expanse of green grass perfectly suited for frolicking. As you can imagine, it is, indeed, a big triangle as it is situated in the middle of two converging thoroughfares. Izzy had lots of fun running around there on Memorial Day, while mommy and daddy chased her.

Meeting Lola, a very friendly, very fuzzy puppy.

Lola let us pet her sparkling white muppet fur.

Grrrr.....

Izzy won by a tiny, pink toe!

In front of the capitol building--a very impressive building located in the heart of Austin.

We enjoyed the lush green lawns surrounding the capitol--it was super-hot that day but nothing a little bare feet in the cool grass couldn't fix.

Daddy can wear my pink flip-flops...

Inside the capitol's impressive cupola, I believe is the appropriate architectural term here.

Stirrin' it up!

Excuse me, but I'm very important and busy... can't talk right now! Lots to do!

Farmer's Market Day at the Triangle which is held every Wednesday evening. Chris met us here after work to enjoy the live music and the aforementioned frolicking in the grass, of course.

Okay, okay, I admit I'm getting a little carried away with this movie editing program but, heck, it's just so darn much fun! I took these video clips yesterday--look how much Izzy has grown, especially in comparison with the last video.

Here's a compilation of old video clips from when Izzy was about 10 months old. I recently discovered, with the help of Chris, how to use iMovie on our Mac which enables us to do cool stuff to our videos.

Izzy is 18 months today!!!! Wow, one and a half years old! She has just been a joy from day one. Right now she perfectly mimics phrases we say; she's very snuggly and gives us frequent hugs; she's very sweet with her toys and knows what it means to be "gentle." Her current interest is sporting her new sunglasses. Once we get them on her she wears them for pretty much the entire day, indoors and out. She loves oranges but not to eat, rather, she loves to hold them and gnaw on them a bit. She calls them "apple" even though she knows how to say orange. The pictures of Izzy in front of the fridge are of her begging me to give her an "apple" to play with. What a charmed life one must lead if all you are want for is an apple. Or orange. Whatever.

Too cool for Thomas.

Beer me some apple, mom! (Those of you who follow "The Office" know what this means and, no, I didn't give her beer.)

Happy Mother's Day!!!
Hope all you mommies out there had a wonderful day! I sure did! First, I received beautiful Mother's Day cards, then I went to my yoga class, then I was given the choice of a massage or brunch but opted instead to hold off on a massage until next weekend and go out for a late lunch/dinner. After a lovely meal, we went to the big downtown Whole Foods for some gelato (my fave!!!) and enjoyed it on the roof deck. Right now I'm devouring some special chocolate cupcakes all for me!!! Ahhhh! What a lovely day spent with my awesome husband and my ridiculously cute daughter! So much to be thankful for!!!

Waiting for a bus. Hmm, not sure if one stops at our second floor balcony, but, hey, who wouldn't make a detour for this little cutie?

Um, mom, I hate to have to break this to you but, you know we're wearing the same dress, right?

Visiting the Arboretum cows.

I see Daddy!!!

My future's so bright, I gotta wear shades.

I insisted on wearing my cool new shades to dinner in case of impending paparazzo.

Important business calls. "Hi, daddy. Can you hear me now?"

Sorry I gotta take this call...

Okay, I love you! Ba-bye!
