I'm sure all that follow this blog have been wondering why there hasn't been any new posts as of late, especially with another month birthday marker gone by (Izzy is now 17 months.) Well, a string of "bad luck" involving our cars, bad colds, our computer and some identity theft intrigue have kept us busy and with all that going on it has been hard to find time to update (also we were without our computer for a week so that made it even trickier!) But, alas, we're all well and happy, cars are fixed, computer recovered, identity validated, and blessings counted...makes for one big, lovely blog update, wouldn't you agree?

Our community put together an Easter egg hunt for all the kids. We were excited for Izzy's first egg hunt and encounter with the Easter bunny who found time in his busy schedule to make a special appearance!

Working out a game plan before the hunt...

On your mark...

...get set...

...go!!! Wow, mom doesn't mess around and took a "take no prisoners" approach to this hunt business. I didn't think throwing elbows was allowed but, hey, I'm new to this whole egg thing...

Izzy with her finds.

Patty cake with E.B. who is, surprisingly, much taller in person. Izzy, by the way, loved the Easter Bunny and was one of the few kids who didn't run away screaming at the sight of him. She followed him around like a little bunny apprentice...so cute!

Izzy was a very lucky huntress and found an egg that contained the winning ticket for a huge Easter basket! Score!

After the hunt.

Izzy also won a pinwheel which intrigued her more than the enormous Easter basket prize.

Unwinding after an exciting day filled with multi-colored eggs, a big bunny, and lots of fun!

"Cupcake" and "Cutie Pie" shirts I made for Izzy.

Horsin' around at the downtown bookstore. Sorry for the bad pun. These are the jokes, people!

Grandma and Grandpa Z visiting for Easter. They tried to sneak Izzy home with them but we caught 'em!

One minute Izzy was zooming around the house in a whirlwind of giggles, and the next minute snoozing on the floor amongst a scatter of Cheerios.

Modeling the ridiculously cute bathing suit Auntie Lisa gave Izzy. THANK YOU!!!

Today we met with our dear friends, the Quinns, from San Diego who were visiting family and friends in nearby Canyon Lake. We were so very happy to see them and to celebrate Brady's baptism.

Chris playing tug-o-war with a friendly dog we met today.

Proud mommies and Mattie striking a cool pose. The house we were visiting was right on the river which you can glimpse running behind us. So cool!

So happy to see Izzy's blog again. It was wonderful too spending time with "ya-all" in Texas over Easter. Thanks Izzy for giving us the grand tour of your new home and showing us your bedroom. It was fun playing with you and your toys and reading your books. Can't wait to see you again!
