It has been three weeks for us here in Austin and we've settled in nicely. And what parts we weren't accustomed to, yet, well, Austin took care of that. Take, for example, the weather. We had never before experienced a hail storm with golf-ball-sized hail stones. So, heck, Austin delivered! My poor car has the scars to prove it. Despite a healthy dose of Mother Nature's wrath, we really have been enjoying our new life here. We've been exploring the different areas, eating at the local restaurants and meeting our kind neighbors. Izzy really enjoys all the places she can run, collect rocks and leaves, and meet all the dogs (or "puppies" as she calls them) out on their walks in our neighborhood.

The "happy pool party" dance! A lot like the "Macarena" but with more hip action and a shoe.

Now whose bright idea was this to put ruffles on my butt?

Double-dipped in sunscreen, hat on, sandals buckled, camera ready--let's go to the pool, already! Man, I look like a tourist!

A serious painter working on her latest series: "Impressions." Note the use of bright pink paint on her upper lip, very important to her process.

Um, wait...who is this little girl? Where's my tiny baby who used to require a high chair?
