I'm a free-spirited, happy-go-lucky kinda gal who enjoys the simple things in life: a nice stroll in the park, browsing in bookstores, or lounging poolside.
Well, Izzy is exactly 1 month old today! She is growing and growing. Now she weighs 9 pounds! No wonder--she is a big eater! She is also focusing on faces more and holding her head up. We're so proud!

Yay! No weird uploaded pics this time! Anyhoo, here's some pictures of Izzy's bathtime. She doesn't much care for it but enjoys being all snuggled up with mom or dad afterward:) it's really cute--her hair is really curly (like her mama's) right after when it's still damp, then it dries and it's straight (like daddy's.) Wonder what kind of hair she'll have?

Okay, still have no idea why these pics are uploading weird. It's driving me nuts! Anyway, Izzy is doing well. You can see she likes hanging out in her sling and "chillaxing" against her Boppy pillow. Check out her stylin' orange sneaker socks.

I'm not sure why the vertical pictures uploaded horizontally--sorry about that. I'll try to figure that out. Chris had to go back to work today after having two weeks off for paternity leave. We were all bummed:( Izzy sure loves her daddy. Check out her Lobster burrito hat Chris made for her on her first trip to Rubios. Nice, dad:)
Our Isabella is here! Yippee! Sorry for making you all wait so long for pictures. Chris helped me build this blog so I can keep you all updated with pictures of Izzy. So the first picture here is the "Before"--the morning my water broke 11/16 at 5am. We were just about to leave for the hospital and I wanted a picture of how big I got in the end. The next one is me in the hospital. Then our beautiful baby girl!!! Isabella Christina Ortega was born on November 17, 2007 at 1:01am. She was 8lbs. and 19 inches long. There's one of us in the recovery room where Izzy is just a few hours old and she's enjoying her first meal (her head strategically placed in the picture.) Notice the picture in her hand-decorated onesie--"Daddy's Little Ninja Robot."
